Workshop Information
This workshop introduces TCGAbiolinks, an R package for efficiently querying and analyzing data from the TCGA database, an essential resource for cancer research. Through a combination of theory and hands-on practice, this workshop will provide bioinformatics researchers, graduate students, and professionals in related fields with practical analytical skills.
The DepMap (Cancer Dependency Map) project is a critical resource for cancer research involving cell lines. This workshop focuses on how to utilize DepMap data to gain a deeper understanding of the relationship between the genetic features of cancer cells and their drug sensitivity. Participants will learn analytical techniques that can be directly applied to their own research.
While TCGA data has been instrumental in defining the genetic characteristics of cancer through genomics, CPTAC (Clinical Proteomic Tumor Analysis Consortium) data enables integrated genomic-proteomic analysis by including proteomic data, allowing for research into mechanisms at the protein level. This workshop will cover the understanding and practical analysis methods of CPTAC data.
